The Kick-off meeting

Since October, 2008 Kaunas Regional Innovation Centre is coordinating the project named "From Research to Market - Support to Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship". Knowledge-based entrepreneurship that turns research results into marketable products or services is highly valued and supported in the policies of EU countries as it adds to the competitiveness of any economy and is essential for achieving the Lisbon goals. This project has been funded with support from the European Commission.
On 11th, and 12th of December 2008 the Kick -off meeting was taking place in Kaunas, Lithuania. The partners generally discussed the overall project tasks and initiated the work on the work-packages, presented their own region and identified how they would lead the aspects of the project that they are responsible for. The main aim of the first meeting was publicly state the beginning of the project, to outline the project goals and responsibilities of each partner and to clarify the expectations to achieve project's high quality results.
Project „ReMark" partners have successfully co-operated in EU projects in the past, so it is expected that a flawless cooperation and straight decisions will be achieved in the Second partnership meeting as well as in the Kick- off meeting, and overall high quality project result.
